Governments need foreign predatory lending to keep cash flows moving and confusion around foreign aid is necessary to stop the cries of outrage becoming cries of dissent. Each of us would condemn our own Government’s actions if we fully understood the exploitation of those people who can least afford it.

Global poverty is the consequence of a system that encourages profit hoarding and resource monopoly. Global poverty is manmade.
It is not a conspiracy – it’s structural economic behaviour locked into Western Foreign Policy and therefore the global economy. It’s branded aid but really its neo-colonialism.
What if solving the poverty problem was to get rid of people like Bill and have localised communities empower their own future?
