We speak with Byron Reese about The Great Disconnect.
Byron Reese illuminates how today's technology can solve many of our biggest global challenges.  The FT said "Byron Reese is typical of the new wave of internet entrepreneurs out to turn the economics of the media industry on its head."

Byron started his first business as an undergraduate at Rice University. Two of his companies were later sold: Hot Data (ultimately to Pitney Bowes) and PageWise (to Demand Media). He currently serves as Chief Innovation Officer for Demand Media, overseeing research and development. The company has filed and received patents on Byron's work in disciplines ranging from crowdsourcing and content creation to psychographics.

Byron has served on the board of directors for public and private institutions. He has also started several non-profit organizations and just completed his forthcoming book, Golden Age 2.0: How the Internet Will End Ignorance, Disease, Hunger, Poverty, and War.

He was at PICNIC with the keynote The Great Disconnect. We are becoming untethered from the institutions that once defined us. Byron explores the impact of technology on our community, religion, business and daily lives.
